  Our Mission Statement

We, the members of Alumni of Myanmar Institutes of Medicine Association (AMIMA) with expertise in various disciplines of medicine, recognize the need “to improve the total health of all residents of Myanmar ”.

Our mission: To promote the population health of Myanmar residents through poverty alleviation and health education.

Our methods:
- Microfinance to very poor people to alleviate poverty.
- Microfinance the setting up of medical practitioners’ clinics in rural and poor urban areas.
- Improve health-related knowledge to Myanmar medical practitioners through advice and consultation, medical seminars, provision of most up-to-date medical educational materials and provide community support in implementing preventive health interventions.

Our commitment is motivated by our gratitude towards our motherland and the perceived importance of helping people to remedy poverty in order to effectively promote health.

Our core values are firm adherence to the humane principles found in the Hippocratic Oath, respect for life, respect for fellow caregivers, especially physicians and our teachers, respect for medical education, and respect for people and their abilities.
